Typhoid Fever

Case 1, Picture 2: Extensive investigations for intra-abdominal infection were negative. She remained clinically well. Finally the antibiotics were switched to Chloramphenicol and the fever immediately resolved. I suspect Salmonella typhi caused her appendicitis.
